Overview:

The Essex County Emergency Response Team is responsible for providing direct support service in the general areas of search and rescue, containment, canine backup, VIP security, witness protection, prisoner escort and public order maintenance.

The goal of the Emergency Response Team is to successfully conclude an incident through containment, isolation and evacuation of a given area while maintaining the safety and security of the public, and in the case of a lost person, to locate that person in the best condition in the shortest possible time.

The Essex County OPP Emergency Response Team is comprised of dedicated members available 24-7.
