Overview:

Patrol services in OPP policed areas within Essex County are provided by a dedicated, well-trained and professional workforce of eight (8) patrol Sergeants and sixty-six (66) uniform Constables.  

These officers form the core of our first response to crime and public safety issues in your
communities, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Special training in accident reconstruction, intoxilyzer, laser radar, domestic violence, scenes of crime, drug interdiction and criminal investigation ensure that our OPP policed communities receive the finest and most up to date service available.

Utilizing a modern fleet of marked black & white patrol vehicles, ATV's, bikes and specialized traffic enforcement vehicles, officers of the patrol division strive to maintain a high level of visibility both on our Provincial Highways and in Tecumseh, Lakeshore and Kingsville.
